Christine Blackburn's passion for photography began in 1993 while traveling in Europe. She discovered her knack for photography after developing twelve rolls of film only to find that a handful of those photos contained her travel companion - the rest were scenic views. From there she began using New York's countryside to host her love of nature. Westchester Community College educated her in nature photography as well as expanded her vision to photograph people.
In 1998, she moved to San Diego where she began working for Olan Mills Photography. There she learned the art of photographing people. She then moved to Silversand Photography, which allowed her to travel to homes in San Diego County to photograph babies, children and families.
Today, she still photographs nature, art, babies, children, families, and couples for all occasions; wedding engagements, weddings and holiday cards. Her love for people and the beauty of nature are what motivates her to capture them on film. |
